EVENT OVERVIEW:

Four rounds of Swiss, G/25 +5. This chess tournament is only for players in grades K-12. All games are USCF rated, so USCF membership is required for all sections, except for the Starter Section. The Starter Section won’t require US Chess membership, and ratings won’t be computed.

ROUNDS:

For the summer season, all tournaments will begin at 10:30 A.M. on July 20 and August 6. All pre-registered participants must arrive no earlier than 10:00 A.M. and no later than 10:15 A.M. We will have an opening ceremony at 10:15 A.M. All games are USCF rated, except for the Starter Section. The Starter Section won’t require US Chess membership, and ratings won’t be computed.

PRIZES:

Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 players in all sections, along with a trophy for the best team. Additionally, any player who scores 3 or more points but doesn’t win a trophy will receive a medal. For the Starter section, all participants will receive a small trophy.

We pre-ordered all our trophies in advance; therefore, if you register your child in the Starter Section after July 14, they can participate in the tournament but may not receive their trophy on the date of the tournament.
